Oingo Boingo Former Members has just announced their arrival in Brazil for their farewell tour in South America. Famous for the hits “Stay”, “Just Another Day”, “Dead Man's Party”, the Californian band, composed of five original members of Oingo Boingo, promises to bring a lot of nostalgia to fans of rock from the 80s and 90s. After 29 years away from the Brazilian stages, the group returns to celebrate a successful career and bid farewell to fans with a memorable show.
Oingo Boingo's history is marked by an innovative blend of rock, new wave, ska and theatrical elements, along with eccentric and intelligent lyrics. Formed in 1972 by Danny Elfman and other iconic members such as Johnny “Vatos” Hernandez and Steve Bartek, the band rose to prominence with albums such as “Nothing to Fear” (1982), “Good for Your Soul” (1983) and “Dead Man's Party” (1985), the latter of which received critical acclaim and included hits such as “Weird Science”, the soundtrack to the film of the same name. The group has a loyal following and has even been honored in Los Angeles, where April 20 was officially named “Oingo Boingo Day” in 2016.
Get ready for a trip back in time with this historic tour, which promises to revive the greatest hits of a band that marked an era and won fans around the world.
