Boca Cockle

“Berbigão do Boca” is a festival that combines a passion for local cuisine and the joy of Carnival. The name is a combination of the clam, a typical mollusk of the region, with the nickname of one of the city’s most famous revelers, “Boca”.

2025 Schedule

• February 6, 2025 (Thursday)
  • 7pm: Competition to elect the Queen of the Boca Berbigão 2025 in the central space of the Public Market, with a presentation by Telinho and Banda.
• February 21, 2025 (Friday)
  • 13h: Opening of the Arena, start of the Gastronomic Festival and musical performances on two stages.
  • 4pm: Awarding of the winners of the Gastronomic Festival and presentation of the “Friend of Berbigão” trophy to the personalities and entities that contributed to the success of the event.
  • 5pm: Official opening of the Florianópolis Carnival with the handover of the city keys to King Momo and his court, a tradition that symbolizes the official start of the carnival festivities in the city.
  • 7pm: Start of the “Arrastão da Alegria”, a lively parade that runs through the streets of the historic center of Florianópolis, captivating everyone with music and dance.
