Furthermore, it comes in fourth place in the ranking of safest cities between 500,000 and 1 million inhabitants. These numbers are a reflection of the peaceful and welcoming environment you will find when exploring the island's streets. Whether during the day or at night, it is common to see the movement of people, providing a feeling of security that allows you to enjoy every moment of your trip with total peace of mind.

So, let's discover some places to enjoy this day dedicated to women?

How about starting with a walk along Av. das Rendeiras? It’s one of those unmissable programs in Floripa. It is there and also in “O Casarão”, in Praça Bento Silvério, in the center of lagoon, where you can find the traditional “bobbin lace”.

Did you know that bobbin lace came to Florianópolis with the Azoreans? The bobbin is a type of bobbin made of wood. And guess who made these coils? The lacemakers' husbands! While they were at sea fishing, the wives stayed on the edge of Lagoa da Conceição weaving lace while they waited for them to return home.

But it's not just about the beauty of the pieces, no. Bobbin income, as well as fishing, supports many families here. Lace makers are more than just artisans; They represent the historical and cultural heritage of Florianópolis, keeping this tradition alive even with all the changes taking place in the city.
