02/13 – Carnival 

Ah, Carnival! In 2024, this party takes on a special shine in Floripa. From the 10th to the 13th of February, the city transforms into a stage of pure joy with parades on Passarela Nego Quirido, lively blocks and the unprecedented Arena Central, in Largo da Alfândega. 03/31 – Easter Sunday 

At Easter, it is common for Florianópolis city hall to organize various cultural events spread across the city, generally taking place in the city center around the Public market. Stay tuned to our website, we will release more information soon!

04/21 – Tiradentes National Holiday

05/01 – Labor Day National Holiday 

Deserved break! Enjoy a tour scooter in Beira Mar Norte, exploring the Historic Center, the Hercílio Luz Bridge, O Fort Santana and finishing with a sunset at Beira Mar. Scooters have plans starting at R$2.00. 

05/17 – Feast of the Divine Holy Spirit 

Do you know the party you need to go to at least once in your life? It's this traditional festival from our neighboring municipality: Santo Amaro da Imperatriz. Since its first edition in 1854, the Festa do Divino Espírito Santo has been a vivid reflection of the Azorean faith and rich culture. Over the course of 4 days, this event celebrates a broad program that combines religious, cultural and gastronomic elements. Among its attractions, the solemn mass, the dazzling Imperial Court parade, the harmonious performance of the Santamarense Philharmonic Band and captivating musical shows stand out. In addition, the event offers an amusement park for all ages and a wide variety of gastronomic delights and bar services. The Festa do Divino Espírito Santo is a unique event that combines tradition and entertainment in a setting full of historical and cultural significance. 

05/30 – Corpus Christi National Holiday

Floripa goes all out when it comes to making rugs to celebrate this date! Carpets are generally made in Metropolitan Cathedral of the Capital. Soon after, a procession takes place through the streets right there in the historic center. But the celebrations are not limited to the Center of Floripa, around eighteen neighborhoods in the city commonly have their own program. 

Falling on a Thursday, the Corpus Christi National Holiday is also a great opportunity to extend the weekend and enjoy the beauty of Greater Florianópolis. Don't miss the Conventinho do Espírito Santo, Mother Church of São Pedro de Alcântara and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Angelina

12/06 – Valentine’s Day

July – Stammtisch 

Won't be able to attend Oktoberfest? Calm down, Santo Amaro da Imperatriz has the Stammtisch. Enjoy lively stalls, draft beer, German cuisine and traditional music. 

15/07 – Start of School Holidays in Santa Catarina 

The kids are free and all we want are FAMILY OUTDOORS! And Floripa has many options. To spend all their energy, they need to know the Move In Door one of the most amazing trampoline park in the region and it's the perfect place to forget about the screens for a while and just have fun. 02/08 – International Beer Day  

Talking about Greater Florianópolis and not mentioning this unique passion, Beer, is impossible! So this day is celebrated with great joy around here. And our tip is to enjoy the various breweries spread across the region, especially the brewery badenia located in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz.  

Located in the city center, the Brewpub offers a variety of typical German dishes, such as sausages, pretzels and sauerkraut, all accompanied by a “Greifenbier” draft beer directly from the factory. Furthermore, the menu is renewed every season, to offer the customer the full variety of German cuisine. 

But there are many other spectacular places to enjoy a good beer! 

08/19 – National Cyclist Day 

When we say that Greater Florianópolis is complete, we are not kidding! Here we even have a complete cycle tourism circuit located in the municipality of São Pedro de Alcântara, 40 minutes from Floripa. There are 47.92km of incredible landscapes for all levels of cyclists. know more HERE!  

07/09 – National Independence Holiday 

This one deserves a visit to the island’s fortresses, right? Our tips are:  

  • Fort Santana – is located right in the center of the island, right under the famous Hercílio Luz Bridge. Built there in 1761. Nowadays, the fort is open to visitors. And as if that wasn't enough to convince you to visit, Forte Santana also offers an incredible panoramic view of the North and South bays, as well as the Hercílio Luz bridge. 
  • Fortress of Sao Jose da Ponta Grossa – Located in Praia do Forte, this fortress was built in the 18th century and once had three cannon batteries and an impressive 31 artillery pieces, making it one of the most important fortifications in Brazil during colonial times. 
  • Anhatomirim Fortress – Located on Anhatomirim Island, strategically positioned at the entrance to the North Bay, this fortress played a fundamental role in the 18th century, forming part of the triangular defense system devised by Brigadier José da Silva Paes. This one only arrives by boat and you can go with Aventura Pirata or Scuna Sul.

10/12 – National Holiday of Our Lady of Aparecida 

On the famous children's day, you need to have fun at ski ass! Just imagine the children having fun, sliding down the dunes of the Conceição Lagoon on boards specially designed for fun. And we can guarantee that it’s not just the little ones who will enjoy this adventure. The big guys will also throw themselves into this party with a smile from ear to ear! The boards cost from R$30.00 and it’s worth it!!!

Long holiday synonymous with discovering many incredible places! And how about the Santa Catarina Mountains region? 15/11 – National Holiday on the Day of the Proclamation of the Republic 

Around here the sun is already rising at this time, and the weather is very pleasant. So our tip is the various trails and adventure activities spread across the region, such as: Boa Vista trail (Floripa), Buraca Waterfall trail (Biguaçu), Cambirela Trail (Palhoça), Guarda do Embaú Beach (Paulo Lopes) and the Morro do Queimado It is Rafting on the Cubatao River (Santo Amaro da Imperatriz).
