In 1979, Italian Ezio Giannino Librizzi arrived in Florianópolis, a region influenced by Azorean culture and customs. Following in the footsteps of his uncles, already installed in Balneário Camboriú, Librizzi opened the first Macarronada Italiana in Florianópolis, in the old Avaí field, where Beira Mar Shopping is today.

In 1983, Macarronada Italiana embarked on a journey of expansion, moving to a larger space with an inviting entrance facing the busy Avenida Beira Mar Norte and the charming Rua Bocaiúva.
