Macumba Waterfall: A Natural Refuge in Palhoça/SC

Welcome to Cachoeira da Macumba, an oasis hidden in the magnificent Guarda do Cubatão, Palhoça. Immersed in the beauty of Serra do Tabuleiro State Park, this waterfall stands out as a jewel to be explored.

Accessed via the Macumba trail, this natural wonder offers a unique experience for adventurers seeking an authentic connection with nature. However, it is important to choose the time of visit wisely, avoiding rainy periods when the clay and red clay soil can become challenging.

To start your journey, head to Servidão Ademar Rodrigues, where the trail begins in the first alley on the right, next to a white house with a large plot of land. Follow the street until the end (approximately 200m), go around the fence on the left and you will soon see the trail entrance in front of you.

Venture out on foot or opt for an exciting bike journey (an adventure in itself!). At the end of the trail of approximately 12km (round trip), with a difference in level of 300m, you will be rewarded with the serenity of Cachoeira da Macumba. This refuge offers a well of crystal clear water, perfect for a refreshing bath and moments of tranquility.

Explore the exuberant nature, experience adventure and discover Cachoeira da Macumba – a natural treasure waiting to be discovered in Palhoça/SC.
