Viewpoint of Morro da Cruz

This park is an important Conservation Unit located in the heart of the Island of Santa Catarina, in Florianópolis. In it, you will find the top and slopes of the imposing Maciço do Morro da Cruz, a crystalline rock formation surrounded by the vibrant urban area.

From the top of the lookout, you'll have a panoramic view of the stunning North and South Bays, highlighting iconic spots such as the White Rock (São José), Morro do Cambirela (Palhoça), the Pico do Tabuleiro (Santo Amaro da Imperatriz) and the region of Balneário São Miguel (Biguaçu).

In addition to being a site used for research, the park is a popular destination for leisure activities and community outreach. Schools often visit for environmental education classes. Its importance goes further, as it plays a fundamental role in regulating the balance between the biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest and the urbanized area.

With complete infrastructure, including toilets, locker rooms, sports courts, auditorium, Wi-Fi, toys, gym equipment, lake, trails and lookouts, the park offers four different trails with different levels of difficulty. Explore the Pedra dos Gaviões Trail (140 meters), the Rendeira Trail (180 meters), the João Cavalheiro Trail (250 meters) and the Caboatás Trail (280 meters).
