Lampião Hill

About the attraction

Discover the enchanting Lampião Hill in Florianópolis, a gentle and pleasant trail, perfect for the whole family. Ideal for trail beginners, the path is light and uncomplicated, taking around 20 to 30 minutes to the top. Up there, one of the most stunning views of the south of Santa Catarina Island awaits you.

With a 360-degree panorama, it is possible to see from the southern tip of Lagoa da Conceição to Praia da Joaquina, Campeche and Morro das Pedras, providing a unique spectacle of nature. The trail starts at Rua Pau de Canela, in the Campeche neighborhood, and follows a sandy road to the top, 217 meters above sea level.

The climb is easy, without forks to the telephone tower at the top. Once there, head to Pedra do Urubu for even more stunning views. The name “Morro do Lampião” dates back to the 1920s, when a lamp was used to signal pilots at night, marking a resting point on the French postal route.

In addition to the incredible views, the hill offers a special connection to local history and a unique opportunity to enjoy nature at its most stunning.
