Rio Vermelho State Park

Explore the enchanting Rio Vermelho State Park in Florianópolis! This 1,532 hectare natural paradise is a true gem of the island, offering a unique experience in the stunning biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest, in addition to having a huge area covered by pine and eucalyptus, part of a reforestation program carried out in the 60s. Created in 2007 to preserve and rehabilitate the environment, the park is a refuge for native species and an incredible opportunity for visitors to connect with nature.

Located between the north and east of the island, the park is a true green oasis, with stunning trails that reveal lush landscapes. The local guides are friendly and experienced, ready to take you on an exciting journey to discover the region's rich fauna and flora.

In addition to trails, the park offers amenities such as bathrooms, a snack bar and an area specially prepared to receive school students. For adventurers out there, the Rio Vermelho camping site is an excellent option to spend the night under the stars, immersed in nature.

The highlight of the visit is the exciting guided Ecological Trail of Rio Vermelho Park (PAERVE Trail), where you can see up close species treated at the Wild Animal Triage Center. The PAERVE trail is guided, taking place every 30 minutes, the first at 9:30 am and the last at 4 pm. The Trail lasts an average of 50 minutes, with most of the route on a wooden deck and costs R$ 15.00 (general public) and R$ 7.50 (students, elderly people and residents of the surrounding area).

The park has other trails, these free, and is open from 9am to 5pm, from Tuesday to Sunday.
