The small cove of Praia da Galheta is deep, meaning that the waves reach the beach calmly and gently. The length of the beach is 800 meters, with a width varying from 3 to 35 meters, and begins at Ponta do Meio and extends to Ponta do Caçador. To the north of the beach, a grand formation of cliffs 2km long leads to Ponta da Galheta, and Morro da Calheta, which is just behind the beach, completes the enchanting scene.

Praia da Galheta is ideal for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing environment surrounded by nature. The distance from the beach to Florianópolis City Center is 16.5 km, and its location is in the District of Conceição Lagoon.

Access to the beach is via a trail of approximately 1 km, from SC406, just after the Mole Beach. You can also access the beach from the north coast of Mole Beach.

Parking information: If you have a car, you can count on free parking spaces and private parking at Praia Mole and at the access trail to Praia da Galheta.

Important: Although the beach is known for the practice of naturism, this activity is NOT ALLOWED in Florianópolis, according to the City Council (2024).
