A Prainha da Barra da Lagoa, with its unique atmosphere and stunning landscape facing the Atlantic Ocean, offers an unparalleled beach experience. Despite its gentler waves, due to the peculiar shape of its coastline, this beach is not a popular surfing destination.

To reach this hidden paradise, you need to cross the charming suspension bridge over Canal da Barra and follow the alley that leads to the residences. Although the path is somewhat steep and narrow, it takes no more than a five-minute walk to reach the golden sand of the beach.

With only one restaurant-bar on site, located at the top of the hill but with easy access to the beach, Prainha offers a limited selection of gastronomic options. During the high season, some stalls also set up shop, offering corn, juices, sandwiches and other delicacies.

The proximity to Canal da Barra and Barra da Lagoa itself adds a special touch to the Prainha experience. Furthermore, also known as Prainha do Leste, this small strip of sand, just 70 meters long, is famous for the lively samba that fills Saturday afternoons in the only establishment on the seafront.
