If you prefer a more intense challenge, start your journey in São Bonifácio, where the elevation starts at 600 meters. On the side of Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, the elevation starts at 100 meters. From São Bonifácio, the crossing culminates in Pedra do Cabelo, a rock with little vegetation on the top that is an impressive landmark and geographically divides the cities of Águas Mornas, São Bonifácio and Santo Amaro da Imperatriz.
