Discover a natural treasure hidden in the urban heart of Florianópolis – the Poção Waterfall! Located next to the UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina) campus, just 8 km from the city center, this enchanting waterfall is part of the Maciço da Costeira Municipal Natural Park, offering a unique experience for residents and visitors.

The journey to Cachoeira do Poção begins at the end of Rua Sebastião Laurentino da Silva, in the picturesque Córrego Grande neighborhood, between the bus stop and Sertão do Córrego Grande square. You won't have any difficulty finding your way, as there is a graffiti wall that serves as a reference point, as well as a sign indicating the route.

The trail to the waterfall is a real delight, just 1km long and a flat, easy route, perfect for people of all ages, from children to the elderly. Despite the ease of access, it is recommended to wear closed shoes to ensure safety, especially in wet and slippery areas.

Upon arriving at the waterfall, you will be greeted by a breathtaking scene – an eight-meter-high waterfall, a natural pool of approximately 50 m² with a maximum depth of 3 meters. Take the opportunity to cool off and relax in the midst of lush nature.

For an even more special experience, visit Cachoeira do Poção during the low season, when the space is less crowded. Oh, and don't forget: as the waterfall is in the middle of dense forest, the water is usually colder, perfect for cooling off and enjoying!
