Anitápolis is an inland municipality located approximately 80km from the capital of the state of Santa Catarina (Florianópolis). Initially belonging to the city of Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, the municipality of Anitápolis was emancipated in 1961 and was named in honor of the heroine Anita Garibaldi.

With a charming central square, full of robust and historic trees, Anitápolis has rich vegetation and is a true paradise of rivers and waterfalls. With several springs, waterfalls and streams, the city is the birthplace of rivers that supply Santa Catarina, such as the Tubarão River Basin, for example.

In addition to its exuberant nature, which includes the slopes of the Serra Geral, Anitápolis is rich in affection. Recognized for its welcoming and kind population, in addition to its natural beauty, the municipality has great potential for rural and ecological tourism.
