Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, located just 35km south of Florianópolis, is known for its thermal waters therapeutics and its rich history. In 1845, D. Pedro d'Alcântara and his wife, Tereza Cristina, visited the region, leaving their mark by assuming the title of protector of the Hospital de Caldas do Cubatão and donating 6 Carrara marble bathtubs, still in use in the Hotel Caldas da Imperatriz.
The municipality is the stage for events such as Stammtisch in July, the CTG Boca da Serra International Rodeo and the Feast of the Divine Holy Spirit. In addition to the hot springs, visitors can enjoy activities such as rafting, hiking, balloon rides, paragliding and much more!
With an engaging history and stunning landscapes, Santo Amaro da Imperatriz is an ideal destination all year round.
