May 1st – National Labor Day Holiday

May 17th – Feast of the Divine Holy Spirit
Do you know that festival you need to go to at least once in your life? It's this traditional festival in our neighboring municipality: Santo Amaro da Imperatriz. Since its first edition in 1854, the Festa do Divino Espírito Santo (Festival of the Divine Holy Spirit) has been a vivid reflection of the faith and rich Azorean culture. Over four days, this event celebrates a wide-ranging program that combines religious, cultural, and gastronomic elements. Among its attractions are the solemn mass, the dazzling parade of the Imperial Court, the harmonious performance of the Banda Filarmônica Santamarense (Santa Amaro Philharmonic Band), and captivating musical shows. In addition, the event offers an amusement park for all ages and a wide variety of gastronomic delights and bar services. The Festa do Divino Espírito Santo is a unique encounter that unites tradition and entertainment in a setting full of historical and cultural significance.
May 30th – Corpus Christi National Holiday
Floripa delivers everything in carpet making to celebrate this date! The carpets are usually made in Metropolitan Cathedral From the capital. Immediately afterwards, a procession takes place through the streets of the Historic Center. But the celebrations are not limited to the center of Florianópolis; about eighteen neighborhoods in the city usually have their own program.
Since Corpus Christi falls on a Thursday, it's also a great opportunity to extend the weekend and enjoy the beauty of Greater Florianópolis. Don't miss out! Conventinho do Espírito Santo, Mother Church of São Pedro de Alcântara and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Angelina.

June 12th – Valentine's Day

July 15th – Start of School Holidays in Santa Catarina

August 2nd – International Beer Day
To talk about Greater Florianópolis and not mention that unparalleled passion, beer, is impossible! So this day is celebrated with great joy here. And our tip is to enjoy the various breweries scattered throughout the region, especially the brewery... Badenia located in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz.
Located in the city center, the Brewpub offers a variety of typical German dishes, such as sausages, pretzels, and sauerkraut, all accompanied by "Greifenbier" draft beer straight from the brewery. Furthermore, the menu is updated seasonally to offer customers the full range of German cuisine.

August 19th – National Cyclist Day
When we say that Greater Florianópolis is complete, we're not kidding! Here we even have a complete cycling circuit located in the municipality of São Pedro de Alcântara, 40 minutes from Florianópolis. It's 47.92km of incredible scenery for all levels of cyclists. Learn more. HERE!
September 7th – National Independence Day Holiday
This place deserves a visit to the island's fortresses, right? Our recommendations are:
- Fort Santana – It's located right in the center of the island, directly beneath the famous Hercílio Luz Bridge. Built there in 1761, the fort is now open to visitors. And as if that weren't enough to convince you to visit, Forte Santana also offers an incredible panoramic view of the North and South bays, as well as the Hercílio Luz Bridge.
- Fortress of Sao Jose da Ponta Grossa Located on Praia do Forte beach, this fortress was built in the 18th century and once had three cannon batteries and an impressive 31 artillery pieces, making it one of the most important fortifications in Brazil during the colonial period.
- Anhatomirim Fortress – Located on Anhatomirim Island, strategically positioned at the entrance to the North Bay, this fortress played a fundamental role in the 18th century, forming part of the triangular defense system conceived by Brigadier José da Silva Paes. It can only be reached by boat, and you can go with Aventura Pirata or Scuna Sul.

12/10 – National Holiday of Our Lady of Aparecida
On the famous Children's Day, you need to have fun at ski bundaJust imagine the children having fun, sliding down the dunes of Conceição Lagoon on boards specially designed for fun. And we can guarantee that it's not just the little ones who will have a blast on this adventure. The grown-ups will also join in the fun with a smile from ear to ear! 01/11 – Creation of the Serra do Tabuleiro State Park

November 2nd – National Holiday of All Souls' Day
Long weekends are synonymous with discovering many incredible places! And how about the Santa Catarina Mountains region? Located in the heart of the charming Greater Florianópolis area, the Santa Catarina Mountains encompass eight municipalities, each with its own charm and uniqueness. November 15th – National Holiday commemorating the Proclamation of the Republic.
Here, the sun is already rising at this time of year, and the weather is very pleasant. So our tip is to check out the various trails and adventure activities scattered throughout the region, such as: Boa Vista trail (Floripa), Buraca Waterfall Trail (Biguaçu), Cambirela Trail (Threshing floor), Guarda do Embaú Beach (Paulo Lopes) and the Morro do Queimado It is Rafting on the Cubatao River (Santo Amaro da Imperatriz).

November 20th – National Holiday for Black Awareness Day
