O Shipwreck Museum, Under the diligent care of Daniel Rian, a true native of Florianópolis, this is a preserved treasure on Ingleses beach, in the north of the island. Located on the right side of the beach, this unique space houses artifacts from a 17th-century vessel, thus rescuing a crucial part of local history.

With his vast experience of 16 years as a museum curator, Daniel shares with visitors not only the details of his work, but also the fascinating narrative behind the pieces he curates. More than 36,000 people have already had the privilege of exploring this unique collection.

The Shipwreck Museum is linked to the events of 1687, when a Spanish ship, occupied by English pirates who had plundered it in Peru, ended up shipwrecked after sailing for six months at sea. Attempting to return to England, they found refuge on the coast of the island, only to be captured by the founder of the village of Nossa Senhora do Desterro, Dias Velho.

The Shipwreck Museum is a living reminder of the city's rich coastal history, bearing witness to the times when various European nations, such as England, Spain, and Portugal, explored its waters. The relics recovered from this shipwreck stand out as historical testimonies of great value and significance.
