Discover a hidden natural treasure in the urban heart of Florianópolis – a Poção WaterfallLocated next to the UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina) campus, just 8 km from the city center, this enchanting waterfall is part of the Maciço da Costeira Municipal Natural Park, offering a unique experience for residents and visitors alike.

The journey to Poção Waterfall begins at the end of Rua Sebastião Laurentino da Silva, in the picturesque Córrego Grande neighborhood, between the bus terminal and the Sertão do Córrego Grande square. You will have no difficulty finding your way, as there is a graffiti-covered wall that serves as a landmark, in addition to a sign indicating the route.

The trail to the waterfall is a real delight, only 1km long and with a flat, easy route, perfect for people of all ages, from children to the elderly. Despite the easy access, it is recommended to wear closed shoes to ensure safety, especially in wet and slippery areas.

Upon arriving at the waterfall, you will be greeted by a breathtaking scene – an eight-meter-high waterfall and a natural pool of approximately 50 m² with a maximum depth of 3 meters. Take the opportunity to cool off and relax amidst the lush nature.

For an even more special experience, visit Poção Waterfall during the off-season, when it's less crowded. Oh, and don't forget: since the waterfall is located in the middle of dense forest, the water is usually quite cold, perfect for cooling off and enjoying yourself!
