O Florianópolis Botanical Garden Park It's an incredible place for an ecological tour in the heart of Santa Catarina's capital, occupying an area of 19 hectares in the Itacorubi neighborhood. Since its opening in 2016, it has been an excellent option for those seeking contact with nature and a peaceful, relaxing environment.
Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a beautiful lake with a small trail around it, leading to other areas of the park. In the center of the park, there are several tables and chairs for those who wish to have a picnic, as bringing food is permitted.
Furthermore, the park features a renowned community garden where visitors can learn how to compost. There are also several themed areas, such as the rock garden and cactus garden, the sunflower garden, the rose garden, and the hammock area. The Fritz Müller Arboretum is an attraction in itself, with various plants that the naturalist studied.
On weekends, the park offers a range of activities, including exhibitions, contemplative spaces and physical activities, environmental education programs, guided tours, and seedling donations. All of this makes the Florianópolis Botanical Garden a great place to spend a day with family or friends.
Tip: Take the opportunity to visit the Viewpoint of Morro da Lagoa da Conceição, located 7.5km away, and be amazed by the panoramic view of the Lagoon.
