The Museum Café captivates customers with a wide selection of sweets, savory snacks, drinks, and soups. The themed menu, inspired by the rich island cuisine, features a variety of snacks with affectionate, local names, adding a special local touch.
If you want to try the traditional crab cake, affectionately ask for a “Dazumbanho”. The meat cake has earned the nickname “Ó-lhó-lhó”, while the fish and shrimp cake is known as “És um monstro” (You're a monster). Even the mineral water has been affectionately nicknamed “Se tu dix” (If you say so).
Opening Hours: From December to February, the Museum Café is open Monday to Friday, from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm, and on weekends and holidays, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. From March to November, the hours are adjusted to Monday to Friday, from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, and on weekends and holidays, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please note that the Museum Café is closed to the public on Tuesdays.
