



A Church of Our Lady of Lapa, Located in Ribeirão da Ilha, it is a true historical and cultural gem. Built in the 18th century, it is one of the oldest and most important religious landmarks in the city. Its colonial architecture makes it a treasure for those who wish to learn about the history and culture of the region. Despite having undergone numerous interventions over the years, the church still retains some of its original features. In 1840, urgent repairs were requested to the church's roof and sacristy, which were almost in ruins. During the visit of Emperor Pedro II in 1845, he donated 400,000 réis, which contributed to new works and repairs in the parish.
