Florianópolis, the famous "Magic Island," is home to some of the most incredible beaches in Brazil, and... Praia Mole It is one of the jewels in the crown.

Located in the Lagoa da Conceição District, this stunning beach stretches for 960 meters, from the rocky shore north of Ponta do Gravatá to Ponta do Meio, a peninsula famous for its breathtaking views.

The beach's name is rather curious – "Praia Mole" (Soft Beach) – and refers to the texture of the sand, which is soft and almost shifting when stepped on. But don't be fooled by the name, because this beach is a true paradise for surf lovers, with strong, long waves that attract surfers from all over the world.

Besides the waves, Praia Mole is known for its crystal-clear, clean waters, and its fine, firm sand with larger grains, giving it a unique mobility. The beach also offers excellent tourist infrastructure, with hotels, bars, and restaurants, as well as a lively music festival scene that attracts a young and cheerful crowd.

To reach Praia Mole, simply follow Highway SC406 from downtown Florianópolis for approximately 15.5 km. The beach is one of the main tourist attractions in the region, offering visitors a unique and unforgettable experience.

If you're looking for a breathtaking beach in Florianópolis, Praia Mole is definitely one that should be on your list of places to visit. And when you come, also visit... Gravatá Point, on the southern end of the beach. Access is via a trail, about 30 minutes long, that starts at the edge of the highway.

Tip: This beach is located on the open sea and has strong waves, so it is not recommended for those with children.
