Lagoon Coast Trail

A Lagoon Coast Trail or as it is also known, the Lagoa Coast Trail to Canto dos Araçás, is a trail of approximately 5.75km (From Canto dos Araçás to Cachoeira da Costa da Lagoa), lasting from 2h. The route is of considerable difficulty, ranging from easy to moderate. .

The trail begins 300 meters past the Canto dos Araçás bus terminal, passes through the Costa da Lagoa community, and ends at... Saquinho Beach. The trail runs along the edge of Conceição Lagoon And the trail entrance is well signposted, with a gate and information regarding distance, terrain, vegetation, and difficulty level.

The trail is a community path, so along the way there are several houses and urban features such as sidewalks and stairs. There is also a... engine, located just past Vila Verde (Point 8 of the lake transport), which is around 150 years old and was used for the production of cassava flour.

In addition to the device, between Points 9 and 10 of the lake transport system, it is possible to see a old listed mansion, built by slaves around 1780 (Dona Loquinha's mansion) and also walking on the so-called peanut brittle, some of the oldest paved areas in Florianópolis (between Points 4 and 5 of the lake transport system). Irregularly shaped, the stones were laid side-by-side by slaves in the 19th century and remain to this day in some sections of the Lagoa Coast Path.

At the end of the hike, upon arriving at the Costa Lagoa community, you can enjoy the various restaurants available along the lagoon.
