Anitápolis Anitápolis is an inland municipality located approximately 80km from the capital of the state of Santa Catarina (Florianópolis). Initially belonging to the city of Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, the municipality of Anitápolis was emancipated in 1961 and received this name in honor of the heroine Anita Garibaldi.

With a charming central square, full of robust and historic trees, Anitápolis boasts rich vegetation and is a true paradise of rivers and waterfalls. With numerous springs, waterfalls, and streams, the city is the source of rivers that supply Santa Catarina, such as the Tubarão River Basin, for example.
