Box 32

It all started in 1984, when on March 3rd, Beto Barreiros, a businessman from Santa Catarina and owner of a gas station in downtown Florianópolis, decided to put an old dream into practice. He sold the property and embraced his desire to work in gastronomy, opening the doors of... Box 32 from the Municipal Public Market.

The bar revitalized the old market, becoming the main meeting point of the place by attracting people of all classes and social backgrounds to its counter. For this reason, it earned the nickname of the most democratic bar in the country. Today, the Box 32 A tourist attraction in the city as well-known as the Public Market itself, through which twenty thousand people pass daily.

It was the first bar in Brazil to receive the Top Marketing award from ADVB – the Brazilian Association of Sales Executives, Santa Catarina section, in 1989 and for the second time in 2000.
